the organization shall:

  • ​Provide opportunities for networking.​ 
  • Provide a forum for sharing new ideas and methods.
  • Mentor those who are new to the profession.
  • Work together to provide solutions to common problems within our profession.
  • Provide opportunities for continuing education by engaging qualified speakers with topics related to the field and which are included in the National Certification Council of Activity Professional's (NCCAP) "Body of Knowledge"
  • Encourage members to become highly qualified in the profession either through continuing education or certification.
  • Promote the work of activity professionals within facilities serving seniors and to the public.
  • Encourage and support state and national participation within our organization.

Our purpose is to enhance the lives of elders by supporting the people who work with the senior population, as activity professionals or in a similar capacity, in Lancaster County and the surrounding area.​

Each meeting we feature a speaker or topic for discussion.  Learn more about topics that concern the elderly, as well as our jobs as activities professionals.  At select meetings you can earn 1.5 CE’s.  Network!  Share!  Learn!  Grow with us!  LADA Meetings Schedule .

scholarships

LADA will offer a maximum of $1,000 in scholarships per year. Please follow the criteria listed in the application to apply.​
